I think it would be a good idea to have a Welcome Thread for a starting point for folks new to the board.
I know you won't be able to bring in everyonefrom the comfort of lurking but it should help.
Here, I'll start.
Hi! I'm Charley.
You may remember seeing a white 2nd Gen Miata at some C&C events with the blue // grandsport stripes. That's mine. (it's mostly to differentiate white Miatas in their natural habitat, dodging cones)
I wish I could make more events, and I do come when I'm able.
I'm active in the Alabama Region SCCA's Autocross side of the club and enjoy working their Teen Driver Clinics. Let me know if you'd like to get started doing the most fun thing that you can do with your daily driver, or if you have kids who you'd like to get better car control in a safe environment. I can help!
Thanks, Charley

Hi all, I'm Anthony. I've only been to B'ham CNC once last year as I live in Huntsville but I'll be down there again this Saturday if the weather is nice. I'll be in my British Racing Green Lotus Exige. Thanks for putting this forum together.

Hey guys,
My name is Keith, I was the gentleman that showed up in the Bluewater built Golf R two weekends ago. I've gone to two Birmingham Cars and Coffee meets so far, but that is because I have driven from JACKSONVILLE, FL! I just wanted to say it was nice meeting everyone and I hope to see you all around more. If you all have any questions about my build and my future plans, feel free to reach out.
Cheers!
Keith

What up, C&C people! I'm Jonathan, the Fiat guy at C&C every week (love my job!), usually in my own Abarth I'm from Mississippi but moved here to work at the Fiat store almost a year ago. I used to race motorcycles but broke too many bones so I bought my Abarth and started doing autocross down in New Orleans. It has pretty much snowballed from there; I've been doing lots of trackdays at TGPR and Barber lately.

Hey, I'm Chris. Haven't made it to a C&C yet mainly because I'm only off like 4 Saturdays a year. But I'll make it sooner or later. I drive a white Ford Lightning and I'm from the Birmingham area.

David here. Birmingham native and somehow still living here after all these years! I'm usually either downtown or around the Homewood/Vestavia area. I've been through many German/British cars in the past but I am currently driving a 335i. It's nice and fast but unfortunately it seems I have overloaded the stock clutch's holding ability, so I'll be having to avoid those 3rd gear pulls for now! Aftermarket BMW clutches seem to be frustratingly expensive.

Hello! This is Andy. You'll usually see me wandering around with my son Jake. We're local here in Birmingham. We usually bring the daily driver black Vibe GT... the one with the Lotus motor... check out the Lotus Exige when it shows up. His looks prettier than mine!

Hi everyone, I'm Chili. I live in the Alabaster area, currently a senior at Thompson High. I've been out to CnC several times now, and as the weather perks up I'll probably be regularly attending. I either show up to the meets in my green Ford Ranger (don't mistake me for a part of the truck crowd, twas a hand me down) or with my buddy Patrick in his Volvo S60. You can find me doing some above-average photography with my little Kodak point and shoot (wanting a D3200 soon). Looking forward to meeting more people out there! Mine Patrick's

Hey all. I'm Sean. I try to get out to at least every other C&C. I'm the one with the loud (at least to me) Civic Si, as you can see below. Just really started to get into cars in the last few years and C&C makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. I've learned a lot from going to the meets. Look forward to talking to you all.

I'm Rusty and I haven't made it out there yet. I don't have a car worth displaying and I race on Saturday nights so it's been a challenge to get out there. I hope to get out there sooner rather than later.

I hope to get out there sooner rather than later. Hey Rusty - no reason not to come out anyway (minus the racing!) If it rolls, then bring it out! We've tried to make the event as much about the people as it is about the cars! Look forward to seeing you out soon!

Hi: I'm Shea the girl that drives the black SLK. I have enjoyed coming to cars and coffee and enjoy seeing all the different cars. I am currently restoring a 1981 Mercedes 380sl. I love classic cars and learning about them.

Hello, I'm Hans. I'm a motorcycle and track car enthusiast. I love to tinker and fix automobiles. I drive a 1990 White Mazda Miata that has been stripped for the track. When I'm not in my sports car I'm busy riding motorcycles on local roads or on cross country trips. Next month my wife and I head off to Deal's Gap, N.C. for MATG (Miatas At The Gap). I'm about to pick up a VW GTI as a daily driver (my second GTI!). I'd take my track car out to C&C but she's a little rough around the edges and is no showpiece I have yet to make it out to Cars and Coffee and would love to see what it is all about. Very happy to see a local auto-enthusiasts forum. Cheers!

Hi, I'm John...I try to make it out to the meet when I can. I have 4 kids so family comes first. I'm usually out of town somewhere in the southeast climbing cell towers, so between work and home there is little play. But I work on my VW projects when I can. Current daily is a 88 white jetta gl 8v, project car is a 86 jetta 2.0aba swap with Yamaha R1 carbs. Looking forward to brining it out soon! Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Hi everyone. I'm David and I'm from the Birmingham area. I drive a 2001 Camaro SS that's currently under the knife with a motor swap after I blew the LS1 up at Steele earlier this summer. I've made it to one cars and coffee this year before I blew it up, and hopefully I can make it out to some more once I get it running again. Motor is finally together now, so I just have to get everything in the car and get it tuned. Should be soon! I will copy/paste my build thread from LS1tech over here that I started when I bought the car 2 years ago. The bulk of the changes start on page 3 or so, but it'll give you a good history on the car since I've owned it. The thread is pic heavy.
